Many young people in Hawaii start at a Clubhouse on Oahu or Kauai of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii. Every day, youth, between the ages of 7 and 17 have a choice to be involved in positive and safe programs and activities at the Club with their friends instead of being negatively influenced during the afternoon and evening when juvenile crime spikes.
Club staff and volunteer leaders are faced with the task of providing at-risk children with guidance, a sense of belonging, and the skills they need to succeed in life. While staff are continually trained with the latest youth development programs and safety needs, our volunteer leadership facilitate resource support from friends, family members, professional peers, corporations, and foundations to ensure that the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii annual membership continues to be nominal compared to the $750 actual cost per child.
Join us today in being part of the positive impact on more than 15,000 young person’s lives with your investment to this year’s It Just Takes One Annual Campaign. Every dollar is leveraged to provide the most comprehensive youth development programs focused on academic success, character & leadership development, and healthy lifestyles.
We also encourage you to invest your time and talents by becoming involved at a Club in your community or interest in becoming one of our volunteer leaders. Club tours are easily arranged during the weekday afternoons/early evening by contacting Saeko Higa at firstname.lastname@example.org and can be as brief as 30 minutes. Seeing youth engaged in a variety of positive programs is the greatest affirmation that your investment makes a difference in your community.
Thank you for your investment in the youth of Hawaii.
